What RoamSchedule is

A single source of truth for where your business will be.

If your business changes locations, customers should not have to search Instagram, Facebook, an old website calendar, and three event pages just to figure out where you are.

1

Set your normal week

Create the recurring schedule you usually follow. Add locations, dates, hours, and the details customers need.

2

Change today when life changes

Weather, cancellations, sellouts, private events, and last-minute moves happen. Override today without rebuilding everything.

3

Share one permanent link

Your public RoamSchedule page keeps today's location front and center with the rest of the week right below it.

Your customers don't need another complicated app. They need the answer to one question: “Where are you?”
Who it's for

Built for businesses whose location is part of the business.

Food trucks are the obvious starting point. RoamSchedule works anywhere a business repeatedly moves between public locations, events, markets, or service areas.

Food trucks & food trailersBreweries, offices, festivals, neighborhoods, markets, private events.
Mobile coffee, dessert & beverage businessesKeep regulars from guessing where today's stop is.
Farmers market & pop-up vendorsShare which market, which day, and what time you're there.
Mobile service businessesDetailers, pet services, repair crews, fitness, wellness, and other roaming operations.
Multi-location operatorsTrack stops, assign people, and build location history as your operation grows.
Event & market hostsCreate one event page and let participating vendors add themselves.
What we're not trying to be

RoamSchedule is intentionally not “everything software.”

We're not building another POS.

Square, Toast, and other POS systems already handle transactions, menus, receipts, and payment operations. RoamSchedule does not need to replace them.

  • No payment terminal
  • No kitchen ticket system
  • No inventory engine
  • No attempt to own every sale

We're not payroll or workforce HR.

RoamSchedule may tell you who is assigned to a location. It does not need to become payroll, benefits, tax filing, or HR software.

  • No payroll processing
  • No benefits administration
  • No HR compliance suite
  • No bloated employee portal

We're not a catering marketplace.

Some platforms focus on finding gigs, brokering bookings, catering requests, or matching hosts with vendors. RoamSchedule is first about managing and publishing the schedule you already have.

  • No requirement to book through us
  • No commission on every job
  • No need to surrender the customer relationship

We're not social-media management software.

RoamSchedule can generate a ready-to-copy social post from a stop or weekly schedule. It does not need account permissions or direct posting to be useful.

  • No social login required
  • No complex publishing calendar
  • No dependency on changing social APIs
How we compare

Other platforms do more. That's exactly the point.

Larger food-truck platforms can combine discovery, menus, online ordering, catering, GPS tracking, vendor management, bookings, notifications, and event logistics. RoamSchedule takes a narrower job and makes it easier.

Capability RoamSchedule Food-truck finder apps Full-suite food-truck platforms Generic calendars
Public “where are we today?” page Core product Often Often Possible, not purpose-built
Recurring schedule + same-day override Designed around it Varies Varies Possible, more manual
Website schedule widget Built in Some Some Embed calendar
Ready-to-copy social post Simple output Some offer posting tools Some offer posting tools Not location-specific
Online ordering / POS Intentionally no Some Common No
Catering marketplace / gig brokerage Not required Sometimes Common No
Customer GPS discovery map Can grow into discovery Common Common No
Location profitability history Product direction Usually not the focus Some performance tools No
Learning curve Keep it small Depends on app Broader workflow Familiar, but generic
RoamSchedule's advantage is focus. We are not claiming that a lightweight schedule product has more features than platforms built around ordering, booking, catering, GPS discovery, or complete vendor operations. We are building the faster answer for a business that wants one current schedule it can manage once and share everywhere.

Competitive positioning reflects publicly described features from StreetFoodFinder, Best Food Trucks, Where's The Foodtruck, and Roaming Hunger as of August 2026.

The difference

Don't make a truck change how it runs just to use the software.

A business should be able to sign up, add its normal stops, share one link, and be done. RoamSchedule should fit into the tools the business already uses instead of demanding it replace them.

Low-friction tools

Useful without integrations.

Social post generator

Turn today's stop or the full week into ready-to-copy Facebook, Instagram, Story, or short-form post copy.

QR code + share link

Put your schedule on the truck, menu, booth, receipts, table tent, website, bio, or printed flyer.

Open now / next stop

Automatically surface what matters most instead of making customers interpret a calendar.

Saved locations

Reuse breweries, markets, offices, venues, and regular stops without typing the same details every week.

$

Was this stop worth it?

Record simple sales and costs so RoamSchedule can eventually show which locations deserve another visit.

Staff assignment

Know who is going to which location without pretending RoamSchedule needs to become payroll software.

For event hosts

One event page. Vendors add themselves.

Create a public event page, send one vendor-join link, and let each participating business add its own profile. The host gets a clean lineup page without collecting logos, links, menus, and business details one-by-one.

Great for food-truck rallies, markets, breweries, school events, neighborhood events, pop-ups, and festivals.

Who should not use it

RoamSchedule is not the right fit for everyone.

×
Your business never changes locationsIf one storefront and standard business hours solve your problem, Google Business Profile may already be enough.
×
You need a full POS or online ordering replacementRoamSchedule should link to your ordering system, not pretend to replace it.
×
Your main problem is finding catering leadsA catering marketplace or booking platform is a stronger fit if lead generation is the primary job.
×
You need enterprise workforce managementIf you need payroll, HR, time clocks, certifications, and labor compliance, use dedicated workforce software.
FAQ
Do customers need to download an app?

No. A RoamSchedule public page is designed to work as a normal shareable web link. The goal is to remove friction.

Does RoamSchedule replace my website?

No. Use the public page as your schedule link or embed the RoamSchedule widget into the website you already have.

Does RoamSchedule post to Facebook or Instagram for me?

Not in the lightweight launch version. RoamSchedule can generate a ready-to-copy post from your schedule without requiring social-account permissions.

Does RoamSchedule send text alerts?

Not in the current launch version. Alerts may return later as an optional feature once they can be added without making the core product heavier or more expensive.

Can event hosts use RoamSchedule?

Yes. Hosts can create a one-time event page, invite vendors to add themselves, and publish a clean vendor lineup from one shareable URL.

Will RoamSchedule only be for food trucks?

No. Food trucks are the strongest first market because the problem is obvious, but the product is designed around businesses and operators that move between locations.

Stop answering “where are you?”

Give customers one place that always has the answer.

Set your normal week, update today when plans change, and share the same RoamSchedule link everywhere.
